Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks was an African American civil rights activist who the U.S. Congress later called the "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement." We chose Rosa Parks because she was and still is a good example for us women and girls. She was very helpfull to all of our women in the U.S. even the world not just the U.S.On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks, age 42, refused to obey bus driver James Blake's order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. She was tooken to jail and she suffered alot there.Nine months before Parks refused to give up her seat, 15-year-old Claudette Colvin refused to move from her seat on the same bus system. He also believed that racism hurt alot of people. Soon Rosa Parks' ways were spreadinq all around and helped alot of people. Well I hope you can get interested with her as much as we did. Thank You for listening.!!!
